A New Song

Psalm 96:1 “Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth.”

God, I want to gain a fresh awareness of your goodness today. I never want to tire of offering you the praise you deserve. Renew my mind and purify my heart as I seek you. Place a new song of praise on my lips: a song that is new every morning and never gets stale, old, or empty. I don’t want to miss you because I have gotten complacent in my faith. I want fresh eyes and a softened heart to see and experience your love over and over again. Place in my soul a new song, for you are worthy. Amen.
